chris oxford plays all of the guitar and bass for the tracks and gabe gabriloff did extra guitars for the prologue and epilogue and co-produced the music with chris. andy galeon of death angel did all the drum tracks. chris did all the artwork (including the wiccan script) and his buddy mark from peru did the print. i recorded, engineered, and co-produced the record, but chris really did all the creative work. special thanks go out to kirk hammett of metallica and his wife lani for letting us use his studio downstairs to do it.

we sampled all our top favorite horror flicks of all time including evil dead 2, hellraiser, the shining, and other shit you’ll have to guess! eventhough previous depressor releases have been death and grind, this release is definitely the heaviest most crushing and deeply sky darkening release depressor has ever done. it came quite timely as chris, gabe, andy, and i, all childhood friends of mine and hardcorepunk/metal comrades since age 13, hooked up again all with a common vision to create a classic black metal record! …well, it’s also kinda death… a classic black death record!
chris had already been working on it when i started coming over again (like old times) to toke, listen to good shit, watch good shit, and try to understand his complex socio-political views…he makes me vegan. the same goes for gabe. he’s got a mad library of deep deep DEEP metal, punk, rock, soundtracks, darkambient, deathrock, and muppet movies and makes mixtapes of sesame street and classic muppet songs for ku. ku listens to it everyday…over and over…i’m not kidding! i’m going crazy with ‘C IS FOR COOKIE’ 24/7!!
now that the record’s out, we only need to get a solid drummer person to start practicing with and i’ll be playing bass. will from old grandad/hail satan/other shit is suppose to be the drummer but he’s too busy. i really wanna fucking play! live!!! arrrrggggh!!!
