This is episode 6 of my epic proto-emo indie flick that I wrote, produced, directed, edited, and scored with the help of all my good friends and comrades in art. This scene section is a flashback piece back to 1984 and I did my best to stay true to that time but there are pieces in the set that defy the year. Let’s play PHOTO HUNT!

The file is a Quicktime reference movie to a larger mp4 file. Audio post start today and I’m getting ready to go in the studio to make the music. Right now, the audio is raw and I pieced together the room and exterior ambient tone. I know the cuts could be tighter, so give me ideas if you have any. Try playing the scene with your favorite song in the background!

We shot with a Panasonic HVX200 Tapeless (P2) 720p/24p and recorded the sound with an ultra-cardioid boom mic in one channel and the camera’s internal mic on the other channel. We resisted artificial lighting and used the sun as our key and rim light. All the edge lighting are natural. All the gear was provided by Tin Can Films.

All the shooting was done in 3 hours and set up / breakdown took only 10 minutes because Golden and Fritz are awesome.

Here are scenes from the first episode of Bizarre Love Pentagram. These cuts are raw and don’t have the music and video filters added. The production happened months ago with a good number of people involved but we were able to manage and keep it looking and feeling DIY.

We shot at The Rickshaw Stop in December of 2006 for one of the two major shoot scenes that require lots of crew, talent, extras, and booze. It was so disorganized that I lost a few key crew and talent that night! LOL! But, I still got the shots I wanted and was able to piece together some of the installments for the first episode. There is a ‘music video-esque’ scene that hasn’t been cut. Stay tuned!

ok, originally, this movie was a dark comedy. the original ending was that they find each other again at a funeral and both find out that they are, in fact, cousins.

the festival sponsor asked us to re-edit it to qualify in the romance category at a certain festival. we did. the festival is in Cannes! =D

we decided to make ‘the making of’ mockumentary of this short and call it ‘A THOUSAND TAKES’ hahah! lol. tiffany lo already started editing some hilarious stuff! tons of laughs!!!!
